The car line.
Monday through Friday from 2:10 until 2:40 if you need me, that's where I am.
Sitting in my car. Waiting.
Along with about 100 other parents who are sitting in their cars waiting.
I try to find productive things to do… catch up on phone calls to family, read a book, write notes to church members. I look busy but I'm waiting.
It's true in my Christian life too. I look busy. I'm teaching, singing on the praise team, visiting those in need but really I'm waiting.
Waiting on the Lord.
Waiting for direction.
Waiting for clarification.
Waiting for the next step.
And just like I find great joy in seeing my daughter run to my car every day, so I am learning to find joy in waiting on the Lord.
"I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope."
Psalm 130:5, NASB

What an awesome encouragement. Thanks for sharing this and reminding me that waiting is not about the time or stress and toil, but about the joy that comes in seeing Him work in our lives.
Thank you, Anitra. It's hard sometimes to remember that it's the journey not the destination that really matters.
Yay! Lovely post as always…
Thank you, sweet friend, for your constant encouragement and support.
Love it! Your point about being busy but still waiting is so important. Even when we're waiting, we're still called to serve!
Sandra, I think it's so important that we not grow idle … I've watched so many gifted, talented people waste their lives waiting for "IT!" I'm always praying that God will use me in the now … and continue to prepare me for whatever is next.
