Mimosa - Pantone's Color of the Year
It's starting to warm up here in Florida and I've got pretty spring clothes on the brain. Every season in fashion there seems to be a must-have color. The renowned color experts at Pantone have chosen a warm yellow called "Mimosa" as the 2009 Color of the Year.
I happen to be a fan of all shades of yellow, so I am completely on board with this choice. I set out to find some nice spring picks to share with you, not such an easy task when there are so many great choices.
Don't worry if Mimosa's mustardy shade isn't your thing because every shade of yellow under the sun is available right now, at some unbelievable prices. Whether Mimosa turns out to be the color of spring remains to be seen, but judging from the field of yellow everywhere I look, Pantone just might be on to something.
I would love to have this silk gladiola-print top from J Crew, but perhaps I'll hope for a sale since it is $118.

Nothing better then a bright yellow rain coat on a dark and dreary day. Love the idea of adding Yellow to my Spring work wardrobe. Add a little sunshine and cheer to the office too!
That's right. Yellow is the happy color. Cheerful co-workers are good co-workers!
love yellow, so I am so excited for spring. meanwhile, I just dog-eared half of the jcrew spring catalog. and those scarves from the gap are adorable. I may have to invest in one!
Yellow is a great color for Spring 2009, as we are cautiously optimistic at this particular time.
