When I lived in Australia, vegetable pasties were a favorite take-out food. We would have them with everything from a serving of fries, to a plate of vegetables or salad, or simply serve them with tomato sauce for dipping. They are one of the foods I had been missing most since moving overseas, so it encouraged me to start making them at home. The ones we have are generally individual hand-held pies, which are shaped like a half circle, however, I find this way, which looks similar to a Stromboli, to be much quicker and easier to do. It's also perfect for serving for family dinner, or when home entertaining. Guests can take as much (or as little) as they like, and the recipe below makes three. So if you don't use them all, freeze them for later, just remember to reheat in the oven as … [Read more...]
Gluten-Free Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins Recipe with Bob’s Red Mill
This blog post has been sponsored by Bob’s Red Mill, but all opinions are my own, and this recipe is kid-tested and approved so give it a try. Gluten-Free Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins are sure to make them smile. I have a gluten-free child. He doesn't have Celiac disease, his body just cannot process gluten. The transition from regular flours, breads, and treats has been a long and sometimes difficult one for not only him, but my other children too with me often having to make two separate dishes. He misses certain foods, and finds the taste of some gluten-free foods unappealing. So I'm constantly experimenting in the kitchen trying to come up with recipes that not only he loves, but that my other kids love too. And I've found one that has quickly become a big hit for after … [Read more...]

This post was sponsored by Nature Made as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central and all opinions expressed in my post are my own. Read below for more information on how you can enter the amazing sweepstakes this month. Being a mother is a rewarding, but exhausting job. It's a marathon every day of running children to school, activities, ensuring they are eating balanced meals, getting to bed at a decent time, and cleaning up after them. It doesn't stop. So finding time to improve your health and beauty can be difficult. Finding time in my busy day to take care of myself sometimes just doesn't happen as often as it should. Between juggling the kids and working full time there are oftentimes not enough hours in the day. It's sad but true. I don't know how many days I … [Read more...]
Award Yourself With Me Time
PEOPLE magazine (sponsored) This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of InStyle®, PEOPLE®, and StyleWatch®. The opinions and text are all mine. How to find some " Me Time"! Something a lot of us don't get nearly enough of, but that is so important to our health, well-being, and of course, our sanity to give yourself a break. I personally don't get a lot of me time. I work full time, and I raise three kids full time. So between running kids to school, activities, playdates, working, housework, cooking meals, running errands, and volunteering in class, there's not a whole lot of time left over. And when there is I'm normally asleep ... or resting one eye while making lists in my head of the next day's to-do list, or trying to remember what that song was from last year … [Read more...]

More often than not, I like to create holiday projects that I can keep up year-round. This paper heart art is the perfect craft project to create with kids for Valentine's Day and can be displayed not only for the holiday but year-round in your home.
