Home-made pasta is one of the most delicious and versatile things in the world: every year when spring comes around I start making fresh pasta 2 to 3 times a week, ravioli is my absolute favourite because you can literally fill them with any seasonal vegetable and/or cheese you have on hands. These ravioli are colourful and healthy: they are filled with a simple potato-based goat cheese filling and topped with brown butter and kale. The recipe looks very long but it's actually very easy, the only tricky part is the home-made pasta, which it's fun to make with friends or kids. I really advise to use a pasta machine to roll out the dough, however if you don't have one you can also try using a rolling pin, but I should warn you, it's hard work. Of course, you can experiment with different … [Read more...]

Make a Resolution for Younger Looking Skin with RoC® Retinol
(Sponsored) This post was sponsored by RoC® Skincare as part of an Influencer Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review. A couple of weeks ago I admitted to you that I am 35. Yep, 35. In my twenties, I dreaded turning thirty. Something about being that old made me want to freeze time. But, as thirty turned into thirty-one, and then thirty-two, and now thirty-five, I'm embracing each and every fine line that is appearing on my face. I kind of consider them little badges of honor. With every wrinkle, it simply means I laughed a little harder and have lived to become a little wiser. {It should be noted that I know longer feel as though thirty is "old".} When the package for RoC® Retinol Correxion® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream showed up … [Read more...]

Are you planning a special meal? There’s nothing better than homemade rolls on the table. While the idea of making your own can seem daunting – this easy recipe will make even a beginner look like a master baker. I discovered this recipe while looking for a good wholesome option for my kid’s lunches. I am trying to get away from processed foods for our family as much as possible. Making rolls on a Sunday afternoon is easy and has little hands-on time. The majority of time is spent waiting for the dough to rise. Unlike “cooking”, baking is a science and you do have to be pretty close to the directions. Warm milk to activate the yeast and sugar to feed it. This recipe also calls for having your ingredients at room temperature – If like me you keep your whole wheat flour in the fridge … [Read more...]

It's great for busy days when we're trying to rush out of the house, but I don't want to skimp on the healthy breakfast.
