Time for you to pick a dream “do over”

    Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

With the success of the CW’s 90210, I’m sure that you have heard that they are trying to re-do Melrose Place as well.

90210 CastDo you think that is a good idea or no?

I have to say, I’m  a fan of the new 90210.  The story lines move quickly and as far from real life as that show is, I find myself thinking, “I’d probably do the same thing as so-n-so if I were EVER in that situation.”

Can the CW capture the same magic with a remake of Melrose Place? I can’t say yes or no - not until I see the show.

What show was a favorite of yours that you would love to see brought back? And who would like to see in the leading roles?

Me? I would love for Friends to come back on. Now I know it hasn’t been off the air that long, but I really loved that show.  However, we would have to get a new cast of “Friends” right?

    My dream cast would be:

    Will Smith as Chandler

    Pamela Anderson as Phoebe

    Joanna Garcia as Rachel

    Steve Howey as Ross

    Jessica Alba as Monica

    Kevin James as Joey

Now, they might be my favorite actors, but I think together, they’d be great!

How Amy Fisher Changed My Life

    Monday, November 17th, 2008

All of you should have a memory like this tucked away some where… The first MAJOR tabloid story that captured your attention.

Mine was the Long Island Lolita.  I vaguely remember my mom talking to my grandma about it.  I can remember reading the Enquirer which gave details all about it, then came the movies on all the major networks. I was young, but I remember.blissful-buzz How Amy Fisher Changed My Life

That was my first taste in what the Enquirer was even about, why my mom and grandma read it all the time.  I was hooked from that point forward on anything tabloid-ish.

I learned a lot from Amy Fisher ‘and friends.’ I learned never to get involved with a married man: it won’t lead to anything good. I learned to stay away from anyone with a beeper (back then). I learned that Alyssa Milano can’t really play someone other than Samantha. Most of all, I learned that I found a love, a love of something that would stay with me longer than most friends and husbands- a love of celebrity gossip.

The whole E! Network, and VH1 reality shows, they were made and created by people like me! I remember thinking to myself when I was reading the Enquirer way back when, “It would so good to be a news anchor, but only tell these kinds of stories.” And whatdayaknow, today we have E!, my vision from way back when.

    Now I certainly can’t take credit for E!… I wish I could!

But this all brings me to my question for you, what was your first big tabloid news story that got you hooked?

Real Chance at a Great Guilty Pleasure

    Friday, November 14th, 2008

As you may recall, one of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching “The Girls Next Door” on E!… BUT, I have another guilty pleasure that is much, much, much worse. I love all the VH1 Rock/Flavor of Love shows.  Right now they have Real Chance of Love.  It should be at love, but it isn’tVH1 can’t be perfect 100% of the time I suppose.  (I am also loving Rock of Love Charm School!)

blissful-buzz Real Chance at a Great Guilty Pleasure

Real was a “contestant” on I Love New York, a spinoff of Flavor of Love which was a spinoff of The Surreal Life.

Chance was also a contestant on I Love New York and is Real’s brother.

No way could these two “gentlemen” (and I use that term VERY loosely) could EVER hold jobs in the real world like you or I can.

Actually nobody on any of these shows could possibly hold a job in the real world, in my opinion. It does make me wonder what they did to earn money before these shows and what are they gonna after these shows to keep on paying the rent?

If you have not caught this Real Chance of Love, please, DO! It’s best to watch on the weekends when they show a few in a row. I warn you though; DO NOT let the kids NEAR the TV when that show is on and don’t think for one second that watching ANY VH1 Reality Show will enlighten your life.  It will only make you thankful that someone invented antibiotics for whatever “illness” one might catch from these contestants.

What are your favorite reality shows?

    Bridgette, You Still With Us?

    Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

blissful-buzz Bridgette, You Still With Us?One of my favorite guilty pleasures is watching “The Girls Next Door” on E! However, I’ve often wondered, “How DOES that work?” I mean Holly is was the leader, so when it was Kendra’s “turn”… well, just how does that work?  Some things are probably left unknown, right?

BUT, we now that Kendra and Holly have found other men.

Holly with Chris Angel and Kendra is engaged to footballer Hank Baskett.

And Mr. Hefner is with twins now!

    So, what happened to Bridgette?

    What Is Your Background Music?

    Saturday, November 8th, 2008

blissful-buzz What Is Your Background Music?Ok, if you follow me at all on my own blog over at Junkfood4theSoul, then you may already know that I have a problem.

A problem with TwitterWhat did we do in the days before Twitter?

If you don’t have a Twitter account, you need to, it’s all the buzz.  (get it, Blissfully Buzz, it’s all the buzz- Ha! I crack myself up!)

Well, I met someone over the weekend, GingerSnaps who also has a Twitter account.  To make a long story short, I ALWAYS check to see if whoever is following me has a blog and well, GingerSnaps does have a blog. A tag line on her blog is “The Trouble with Life Is That There’s No Background Music.”

I love that! I think it’s so true, or is that just me?

So, my fellow friends, if you had music following you around today, right now, what song or theme music would it be?

The catch- it has to be from the Billboard top 40 OR theme music from a current show or current movie. I wanna keep y’all current and up to date.

Ok, so tell me what song would be playing in your background right now?

For me? For today it’s this song…

    YouTube Preview Image

It’s not that I’m having any trouble in my marriage- I love my hubby very, very much, it’s just I love this song! And when someone makes me mad throughout the day, I just think of this song and smile.
