		<description>I really do wonder if the "okayness" of a shower for subsequent children is partly dependant on geography.  I live in Ontario, Canada, and not a single person I know has had any sort of shower for a child that isn't their first.

That being said, I'm totally jealous of anyone who has such a thing thrown for her and her subsequent children, and wouldn't say no if people offered to put some food in my freezer for the upcoming post-c-section days.  Alas, my friends who might be inclined to do such a thing don't live nearby and it's hard to send casseroles through the internet.  :)

		<description>I think a group gift to the zoo or children's museum is a useful gift for a growing family. We recently threw a shower for a girl in my neighborhood who is expecting her third boy. We bought little Camelbak back packs for the boys and a hiking baby carrier for the new one- now the whole family can enjoy a hike together!
