For the child who loves to draw, invite them to create a comic strip or even a whole comic book.

Picture Books

For children that aren’t quite as crazy about drawing, but are still too young for complex short stories, they’ll be excited to be the author & illustrator of their very own books. We love to buy blank, hard cover books from a local teacher supply store. They write on one page and draw an illustration on the opposite page.

Family Newsletter

Depending on how adventurous you are, this could be anywhere from a monthly newsletter to an annual newsletter. (Why not let the kids write up this year’s Christmas letter?) The beauty of a family newsletter is that this can include many of the items mentioned above, and will help family & friends share some of the fun things you have worked on during your homeschooling year.
