A pillow gift? What’s that, you ask? A pillow gift is a small gift that is left on someone’s pillow at the end of a long, busy day of hosting and or celebrating.
Traditionally, the pillow gift idea is marketed to husbands, to help them with a thoughtful, sometimes romantic gift to say “thank you” to their wife for being the hostess-with-the-mostest.
It’s a great romantic notion, isn’t it? But why can’t we turn it around and, as wives, leave a pillow gift for our husbands?
My husband is a tremendous help when we are hosting get-togethers. He helps with the preparations, he keeps the guests entertained while I finish with the food, and he does a great job of “toddler-wrangling” so that I can enjoy myself too.
We are not hosting the family gathering on Christmas, but there are countless other things that my husband does for which I am very thankful. So I think he deserves a pillow gift.
What about your spouse? Does he deserve some appreciation this holiday season? Show your appreciation with a small gift left on his pillow at the end of a long day of celebrating.

That’s a great idea! What are some ideas for a gift?
Lisa, I think the type of gift depends on your husband. A book he’d like to read, a money clip or a new wallet, or something similar. My husband works on several different computers and needs to transfer files back and forth, so I’m getting him a new thumb drive. Something useful yet thoughtful.
so great…i do something like this for hubs each year. great idea to share.
