I’m thinking of starting a new feature here at Wedded Bliss. “Brag on Him” Friday (I know it not exactly alliterative but we don’t have days that start with “B” so…work with me!) You can submit stories about “sweet deeds” your husband has done for you. Hopefully I can convince one of our graphically talented ladies to make us a button to enhance our bragging experience!
If you’d like to submit a post for “Brag On Him”, please e-mail me at malia@blissfullydomestic.com. I’ll start us off for this week:

I’m your typical Harry Potter fan. The only thing I’ve never done in regards to being an Harry Potter fan is to see one the movies on opening day. Earlier this week, I was determined to see the movie on Wednesday but then things got busy and hectic and there was excuse after excuse (from me) to not go. Then Wednesday night, I got a message from a friend. There was a small group of moms going to see the movie at 10:15, would I come with them? At the last minute, I threw all my excuses out the window and headed to the theater.
I got home at 1:30 in the morning. Ugh. Earlier that day, I had left a pile of clothes on my side of the bed. As I stumbled into the room by the muted light from the bathroom, I noticed that the clothes had been removed from my side of the bed, the covers turned back and my pillows positioned just the way I like them.
If I hadn’t been so exhausted, I may have “expressed my appreciation” to my husband for such a sweet deed but instead I wearily crawled into bed and dreamed of spells and wands and potions.
What deed, great or small, did your husband do for you this week that pleased you?

I love this Friday idea. Great way to brag and not nag :0)
The sweetest thing my husband did for me this week was something completely out of the ordinary for him. We are planning a very cost effective (Mr. P is super frugal and I love it) Walt Disney World trip in September with his parents. We are really very excited about it as this was where we honeymooned less than 2 years ago.
He came in to our bathroom as I was getting ready this week and said he wanted to ask me something. I happily said, ‘yes dear.’ He said, “I really wanted to surprise you with this but I wanted to make sure it’s something you would want. I want to schedule a spa massage for you and my mom while we are on our vacation in a few months.” Needless to say I was speachless. Mr. P is the idea of frugal and functional and a massage is not on the upper end of his ‘important and functions things to do’ list. After I started breathing again a huge smile beamed across my face. I told him how thoughtful it was to think of me and what would make me relaxed on our vacation. I have always wanted a massage and haven’t been able to justify the $60+ for it. So this is actually one of the items on ym bucket list. So here’s to you Mr. P. My hero!
