Jen from After The Alter knows she has a good husband and is even more certain, he’ll be a good father.
My husband and I have been married for over a year and have been actively trying to conceive for a little while now. We have been together for over 9 years and over that time we have both grown so much, and I am always amazed to see how far we’ve come. Tonight I am sitting on the couch and watching my husband play with our little 3.5 lb. Pomeranian Tinkerbell. When I watch him laughing and playing with her all I can think about is what a wonderful father he will someday be, and how I can’t wait until he gets the chance to be one.
Having a dog isn’t the same as having a baby, but as I sit here and watch him teach her tricks I can’t help but compare the two. He is so patient and kind. Tinkerbell is by no means a manly dog, and I love when he takes her for walks, shares his food and rolls around on the floor with her. In my opinion it really shows what type of man he is….a very loving one!
At this point he still scrunches up his nose when he even THINKS about dirty diapers and baby throw up, but if being a good father means loving, caring and being there for the little one 100% then I know for a fact that he will be amazing. For that I am thankful, and I hope that one day soon I get to sit and watch him rolling on the floor with both Tinkerbell and our little baby.
