Date Night.. What’s that? So many excuses for why we don’t go out more often. “Too expensive to go out” or “too expensive to get a sitter” – you name it, we’ve said it! But, “date night” doesn’t have to be a huge ordeal. Just spending time together in the quiet of your own home can be just as fun – and romantic!
Dinner for Two After the Kiddos are in Bed- Make a simple dinner or have leftovers for the kids, then after they are tucked away snug as bugs, you and your man can cook a light dinner together or one of you can make a run for your favorite take-out. Set a romantic table with candles aglow, turn down the lights with a little music and voila! Instant dinner date.

Movie Night – Probably the most common “date” for most couples is a movie night. Pop some popcorn and snuggle up on the couch to watch a favorite flick. Don’t forget to take turns picking a movie, but sometimes watching an old classic can fan that romantic flame!
Picnic After Dark – This is probably one of my favorite “dates” with my husband. On a nice night, put the kids to bed a little early and head outside with some coffee and dessert to chat and just enjoy being together. For a little more fun, have a dessert “picnic” and spread a blanket on the lawn, lie back and look at the stars together while you munch yummy snacks.

Just a few ideas to get those creative juices flowing! No matter what you may choose to do, just spending time together each day for a little reconnection is so important. Now get to planning and enjoy your date!
