It’s dark, the bedroom door is closed and locked. Things are heating up under the covers but you, um, need a little help in the lubrication department. You reach over, open the drawer of your beside table and pull out what you think is going to assist you in that matter. After a few moments, it becomes obvious that whatever it was you took out of the drawer isn’t what you thought it was. The light goes on, literally and figuratively, and hilarity ensues.
Tip: If you keep other items in your bedside drawer that are similar in size and shape to a tube of personal lubricant, you may want to make sure they are either in another part of the drawer or maybe you could just move them to another location all together. Ahem.
Sometimes you just need a little real life perspective when it comes to marriage. You can read books and watch Dr. Phil and even go to counseling or seminars and yet many times the advice that rings truest is from friends or even blog posts that recount something that happened in their marriage and how they dealt with it. If you’ve encountered something in your marriage, funny, serious, quirky or mundane, that you’d like to share with others, e-mail me at malia@blissfullydomestic.com. We’ll help strengthen each others marriages from our real life experiences!

The bedside table would be a great spot to keep that kind of thing. Our problem is that we never remember where we put it last! LOL
Ashley, that’s why you keep multiple bottles and stash them all over the bedroom, the bedside table, the ensuite, the closest, under the bed.
This way no matter where you are it’s always in reach!
Cute story Malia! Thanks for sharing.
