There are so many people in our communities who are doing amazing things and as part of this promotional offer, Sears has provided gifts cards for a giveaway on Blissfully Domestic and as compensation for this post to help us honor those people.
Our fire fighters who spend all night tending to and fighting a blaze in a local business to prevent the spread of fire and doing their best to reduce the amount of damage. Our doctors, nurses and various hospital personnel who work day in and out not only treating our illnesses and injuries but helping us to prevent them as well. Our teachers who are nurturing, molding, and reinforcing our children’s young minds – challenging them and teaching them as well as helping to shape the adults they will one day become. And of course, our military service members and veterans who serve day in and day out protecting our country and our freedoms.
Though we have respect for these people every day, this Saturday Sears is showing them a little more love. On Saturday, September 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sears will be offering an extra 10% off of apparel, shoes, lawn and garden, home fashions, electronics, automotive and more this Saturday. In certain cities, the sale will run all day (please visit Sears Salute to our Heroes both to print out your all day savings pass and for specific sales information specific to the Sears location nearest you). This sale is available nationwide, with the exception of these cities, where it will be held on Saturday, November 13: Boston. MA; Seattle, WA; Miami, FL; Raleigh-Durham, NC; Dallas, TX and Cincinnati, OH).
Please remember to visit SEARS SALUTE TO OUR HEROES for full details of the sale.
And while Sears is showering our heroes with love, they have given Blissfully Domestic the opportunity to share that love with you.

I am currently healing from a traumatic brain injury. My Mom dropped everything in her life and temporarily moved halfway across the US to take care of me, my children and my house so my husband could continue to work. I would treat her to a shopping spree at Sears.
I would use this to start buying Christmas gifts for my husband that is deployed !!! and also some holiday decorations !!!
I would use this to start buying Christmas for my 5 Foster Children !!!
I would use it to purchase Christmas toys for less fortune military kids.
I would get some tools and other christmas presents for my husband who is active duty military, get christmas gifts for our 4 kids and for the 5th one on the way some much needed baby gear & items. we could use it for cold weather clothes too as right after christmas the army is moving us from texas to alaska.
I would use this to buy Christmas gifts for my family.
I would use this to get some caring packages to the troop .
I would get Christmas gifts for my family.
I would use this to purchase much needed supplies for an inner-city preschool that our family has been involved with over the past several years.
I am an active duty air force wife of 6 years!
My son has been diagnosed w/ multiple medical conditions including Autism, Obstructive & Central Sleep Apnea, Restless Leg Syndrome & more. We have 1 bed in the house due to finanicial restrictions. My son needs a wide space to sleep in because of his sleep disorders & we are unable to provide him with a larger bed than his crib mattress. So not only does he constantly awaken due to his disorders, but he falls out b/c he moves around so much due to his RLS. We would buy him a bigger bed to help lower the amount of night wakings.
I would use it to buy gifts for our family and friends who serve in the military. It would be an honor and a blessing to do that for them all!
I would use the giftcard to help out an organization that I volunteer for called Young Lives of the Eastern Panhandle. YoungLives comes alongside teen moms and helps them get on their feet and look toward the best future for themselves and their children. With winter coming I would stock up on mittens, coats and scarves for the mama’s and babies.
My hubs works hard every day to bless our family, allowing me to stay home with our son. Because he is so tall, I can’t buy any of his clothes locally. Sears has big and tall online, so I’d use the card to buy him some much needed new clothes for Fall!
I would use it for care packages and christmas gifts for when they go out on deployment.
I would buy my husband some new clothes! He lost a lot of weight while he was deployed and refuses to buy anything new for himself. It’s hard being a military spouse, money is tight, and that $200.00 would really help out. Thank you for the giveaway!
My husband is a fireman and he has been wanting some new tools. I would love to send him to Sears for a guy shopping spree. I might make him buy some new jeans while he’s there. I mean, he hates shopping, but if he’s going to be there anyway, he can tolerate it.
I would go on a shopping spree for my hubby. He is incredible and deserves a special treat. Last year, he started his own graphic/web design business, so he works from home now and he works HARD! On top of that, we have two daughters (ages 1 and 2) and he’s always looking for ways to help me and love on the three of us. He is such a wonderful husband and daddy and I would love to do something special just for him!
I work as the Social Services Director for Compassion House, a home for pregnant teens. They stay during the length of their pregnancy and up to 6 weeks afterwards. Some of them stay longer to prevent mom and baby from being separated in the foster care system. Right now we are in the process of upgrading to a commercial kitchen to accommodate more residents. The money would be used to help make that happen. Specifically, we need a new refrigerator and a larger oven and dishwasher. The money would go towards the purchase of new appliances and would be tremendously appreciated.

I have four kids who need winter clothes especially my 13 year old who just outgrew his size 13 shoes. I would also use it to buy CHRISTmas gifts
I would use this gift to support my Marine husband (active duty for 13 years with 8 combat deployments in his career), as he is able to FINALLY be home for Christmas this year!
I would buy my brother in-law some stuff he can use when he gets deployed in the next two months. All we can hope is that he will be safe and will make it home. He is 19 and my husbands baby brother. I would also send my cousin who is stationed in New Mexico some gifts for her new baby.
The gift card would go to buy boy and girl jammies and take them to Nellis AFB here in Las Vegas. A lot of units have been deployed from Nellis and those mommies could use a little help and the kids can ALWAYS use new jammies!! Besides, I LOVE buying clothes for the kids!!
My husband works very hard so that I can stay home. He NEVER buys anything for hisself. He NEEDS new clothes and shoes, so I would surprise him with some. Thanks for this chance.
Wow! This would be amazing! This would provide my 2 kids with a Christmas they otherwise probably won’t have. They are both growing so fast so clothes are a necessity. Thank you so much fpr the chance!!

I would used it to help my younger children who are struggling with their first jobs and apartments, so they could have just a bit of Christmas!
I work with the Nashville International Center for Empowerment to help raise money from corporate sponsorships. NICE is non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to empowering refugees and immigrants of Middle Tennessee through direct social services and educational programs. We have English language learning classes, GED classes, Citizenship preparation, parenting classes, and assist in job readiness and employment. The center was actually started by refugees from war-torn Sudan in the 90s. They wanted to prevent some of the hardships they faced adjusting to a new country and created NICE in 2005.
We’d greatly appreciate Sears giftcards for the graduates of our ELL classes and/or to buy supplies for our impending move to a new location.
My husband is my hero. When we were engaged he was diagnosed with cancer. No matter how horrible he felt, he was always concerned about ME. The first thing he said to me post-operation, even though he could barely speak was, “You look so beautiful and I’m so glad you’re here today.”
He taught me that no matter what terrible situation life puts you in, you can always find happiness in caring for the needs of others.
He deserves to have new tools or whatever he wants! Haha.
I would use the gift card to give to my wonderful husband for all his hard work on going on a back to back deployment. He has missed out on so much while being deployed it would be wonderful to give him a shopping spree at sears. Thanks!
I have two beautiful little boys, Cameron who is four with special needs and David who is 1.5 who is our little spit fire. I would use this gift card to give them a christmas to remember. We never know what Christmas daddy wont be attending, will he be deployed this Christmas…next christmas? We just dont know. The Air Force can give you 2 weeks notice to deploy. My boys deserve this, ALL these people deserve this. I know Christmas is about love and family and giving… but the truth is… to Children, it’s about the magic and to be able to show my children and the magic of Christmas would mean more than anything! Thank you!
