This post comes from Divine Caroline from contributor Hope.
Sometimes when I look at my husband, I wonder whether I have made the right decision. We are as opposite as the hot, dry Sahara desert is from the cold Alaska. Our interests, hobbies, ways of dealing with people are two extremes. Sometimes I wonder whether we are meant for each other, whether there is someone else out there who’s more apt or more alike. Sometimes I wonder whether he will ever be able to fully understand me or be able to see me through the Creator’s eyes. Will he be able to fully comprehend me in all my beauty and glory?
Sometimes I wonder if I will be able to support and give him all that he deserves and is rightfully his, whether I will be able to discover him. Sometimes it saddens me to see how different we both think, how different our passions are …
Until I look into the eyes of the One who so lovingly bought us together. Then I remember His word, His promise. His faithfulness, His character, and I am assured that He is there in the midst of us.
Yes you are both are different, He says lovingly, each possessing what the other lacks. Yes, your passions are different—providing the perfect balance to the dream and vision. Yes, you both do not fully understand each other—more on the misunderstanding side. But you are together on this journey of discovering each other every day, every experience, every circumstance, every battle, every victory, every loss, every smile, every tear, every touch, every hurt, every ache—they will bind you both together in a manner no other two individuals can. What you both will share is unique and no one else can comprehend it.
Yes, you are both opposite, perfect to create a legacy and make music like no one else can. He may never fully understand you, but no one else will even come close to the way he can touch the very deepest part of your being. Yes, you may not always be able to support him, but no one else will ever be able to make him feel the way you can. You both are together for a unique purpose, a masterplan that will make complete sense probably only at the end your journey. The result revealed only at eternity!
