There are so many things to keep track of when planning your wedding: the location, the invitations, the dinner. It is so easy to lose track of the great ideas you’ve had, and forget which vendors you owe when.
One way of keeping track of wedding chaos is with a wedding planning binder. This book will become your wedding bible, where you can find out anything about your wedding with a quick flip of the pages.
Here is how to create your own wedding planning binder, to save you wedding planning headaches:
- Find or buy a 3-ring binder, anywhere from 1 to 3 inches thick, depending on the size of your wedding. If you aren’t sure, then go for a larger size. You have lots of ideas for your wedding, and you will most likely need more room than you first thought.
- Get some page dividers and plastic sheets. The dividers can be labeled with various titles, such as “invitations,” “caterers,” and “honeymoon.” The plastic sheets can be filled with clippings from wedding magazines and wedding vendor business cards.
- Decorate the cover of your binder with wedding pictures, fun stickers, or even puff paint. Be creative! Make your wedding planning binder a happy source of information about your special day, one that you will be glad to carry with you on your wedding planning adventure.
The organizational method you use with your wedding planning binder is completely up to you. A system that works for you may not be ideal for the next bride-to-be. As long as you can find the information you need quickly and easily, then your wedding planning binder will be a success!
