Who doesn’t like free stuff?
Google offers lots of free goodies. One of them is a free service that will help you remember appointments, birthdays or upcoming events. It’s called Google Calendar and it can be found here. To use it, you will be required to set up a Google account. It’s a simple and painless process.
Google calendar is intuitive and user friendly. I use it everyday, and I no longer forget things, as long as I remember to enter them into the calendar. You can set it up to send you pop-up alerts on your PC, or to send text messages to your cell. It’s possible to set a reminder to repeat once a month, weekly, every day, or even several times a day. There are even options to make your calendar private or public. Individual entries can also be customized in whatever way you see fit. The calendar is accessible from any computer connected to the Internet. Since it is browser-based, it’s cross-platform. You can use any flavor of Windows, Mac, or Linux.
Give it a try. I think you will find it invaluable. I can’t do without it.
