It happens to all children: they outgrow their clothes so quickly. Last time, we talked about purchasing gently used clothing from consignment sales, but did you know that you can sell your children’s used clothes at the same sale?
What could be better than getting your children’s clothing for free or nearly free? If you sell and purchase at a consignment sale, you can break even or come close to it. And besides… consigning is fun!
Tips for maximizing your sales:
1) Check all clothing very carefully for stains, holes or tears. Repair what you can.
2) Wash and iron all clothing. Washing gives it a fresh scent and ironing makes the clothes look newer.
3) Price your clothing fairly. Take a hard look at your item and ask yourself, “What would I pay for that?”
4) Hang clothing on the appropriate size hangers. Baby clothes just look nicer if they are hung on child-sized hangers.
5) Clean all toys, bedding sets, cribs, high chairs, etc. very well and make sure all of the parts are working. You want your items to be in tip-top shape.
6) Consider volunteering at the sale. Many sales offer early shopping and larger returns to volunteers.
7) Always check your sale’s website for information on tagging, hangers, clothing guidelines, and clothing limits.
After you check your items into the sale, volunteer your allotted time, and purchase your clothes, you can sit back and wait for that check to arrive!
Happy selling!

You’re just ahead of me again! I just posted about this on my blog
Selling is not as hard as it sounds and it’s certainly worth the effort – thanks for the article.
It is funny that you should post about this now because just yesterday I “bought” some new summer clothes for my daughter. We had an in-store credit that covered the bathing suit, 2 sun dresses, and 2 short sets we got. I love consignment store shopping!
Hi Nice location It good for those people who are just spending a money for their weekend to buy Children Clothing and after one to two uses they kept to the storeroom.
