When people think of coupons, the first thing that comes to mind is the inserts in the Sunday newspaper. While there are plenty of coupons to be found there, that is only scratching the service!
1. Call or email your favorite companies, let them know how much you enjoy their product and just ask them for coupons. Many companies will tell you that they don’t send them out, but even more will!
2. Look for blinkies, tearpads and hangtags everywhere in stores. You will find these everywhere from the supermarket shelves to the drink cooler at your convenience store. Grab a few and wait for the item to go on sale.
3. If Internet Printables are accepted at your local store, there are dozens of sites that make coupons available. Some of my favorites are Coupons.com, SmartSource.com, EatBetterAmerica, BoxTops4Education, and Betty Crocker.com.
4. Subscribe to a clipping service or get coupons on eBay. The wording on coupons specifically prohibit their sale. Coupon clipping services and eBay sellers state that you aren’t paying for the coupons themselves, but for their time to acquire, clip, sort and ship the coupons.
5. Start a coupon swap with friends. If you have friends who need dog food coupons and you need cat food, offer to clip coupons for each other.
Be sure to head on over to the forum to share any ideas or question you have about coupons!
