Now is the time to look for tremendous savings on summer items. Many stores are ready to clear the shelves and aisles for their autumn and holiday items, drastically reducing summer wear and gear.
If you know what sizes your kids are going to be in next summer, now is an excellent time to pick up swimwear and beach shoes. Inflatable pool toys and floats, plastic picnic ware and decorations are marked down in many grocery, warehouse and drug stores, as well.
All summer items are currently marked 90% off at many CVS stores. I found flip-flops for the whole family at .29 cents each! Our local Walmart has several racks of children’s summer clothing for $1-3 each, and all beach shoes/flip-flops are $1 a pair. Target’s summer gear was well picked-over, but there were tremendous deals to be found on some items. I saw a full service for 6 picnic ware (cups, bowls, plates and goblets) for $1.29.
Often times clearance sales vary from store to store and are unadvertised. Your best bet to find the deepest savings is to check endcaps, clearance aisles and the backs of stores.
