The big Epson Artisan 800 giveaway. We love Epson and we love you
By Alli Worthington | Leave A Comment

We are thrilled to be able to give a lucky reader the best printer ever.

What is one thing all the Domestic Divas have in common? A love for our treasured photographs, of course! Our snapshots are our most treasured moments brought to life and held in our hands. Our grandparents, our wedding, our first born’s little fuzzy noggin- our pictures are priceless.

The Epson Artisan 800 is amazing because you can take a perfect photo, edit it, and make a beautiful Hi-Definition print in less time than it takes to make a cup of tea! Simply plug your camera’s memory card in the printer, edit on the fancy touch screen and print a stunning photo. Easy-peasy.

epson-artisan-800.jpg

Yes, it is sleek and beautiful, but just look at more of the cool features-

  • Smart, 7.8″ touch panel — large display lights up the buttons you need; includes a 3.5″ LCD to preview and print images. You can edit your photos on the printer, no laptop needed!
  • Fax, even in color — send and receive faxes right at home
  • WiFi— um, yeah, wifi!  We love wifi!
  • Bring old, faded photos back to life — easily restore the color to faded photos
  • Make sweet CDs/DVDs— print right onto CDs/DVDs
  • Cool projects — easily create note paper, cards and coloring books using your own photos

Many of the Domestic Divas have told you how they used it and of course, how they love it. You know it is the best printer ever. Now, what you really want to know is how to win this most excellent machine, right?

You can enter up to three ways-

1) Simply leave a comment here telling us what you would love to create with your Epson. Will you use it for photography, crafts, projects with the kids- tell us your plans!

2) You can enter a second time by posting about the contest and writing why you would love the Artisan 800. Just leave your link in the comments below.

3) Send a tweet on Twitter about the contest. Then leave your tweet URL in the comments below. Now you have 3 entries to win the Artisan.

The contest will end Sunday, November 16th at midnight. We will announce the winner on Monday morning. Good luck to you all!

I help run a youth ministry and would use the epson artison 800 for flyers, forms, and crafts for the kids. I print out paper dolls, coloring papers, for them and this printer would be awesome! Printing out pictures of the kids for them to take home would be awesome too.

This would be great for me because I’m always taking pictures and never seem to find the time to have them printed at a store.. so I have a flash drive AND digital camera memory card full of pictures that need printed! haha. This would be a great time saver :)

Since my mom died in September 2007, I’ve been taking custody of all of the photos from my dad. He doesn’t care; he doesn’t want them lost. I have a big project in store for me — scanning so that my brother can have them, transferring old negatives, etc. You mention that this unit can restore color to old photos — I could really use a feature like that to help brighten up these precious memories!

  5. Amy says:

We would use the Epson Artisan 800 to print out all the digital scrapbooking pages I’ve fallen behind on. Probably 800 of them! LOL And so many other things too. I’m drooling just thinking about it… homeschooling things, crafts…

It would be so great to be able to just print them off here at the house and then send them out to our extended family members since we are a military family live far away from everyone.

Ever since I made the switch to digital, all the pics live on the computer. I need to frame a multitude of them- to help our house feel like a home, to be surrounded by visual reminders of our friends and family that we don’t get to see all the time.

  28. Nicole says:
    November 10, 2008 at 9:35 am

I’ve just adored this printer since seeing the first post about it two weeks ago. For me, I’d use it to finish up all those handmade Christmas gifts that require photos, and our Christmas card as well. I’d also get to finally print all those digital scrapbook projects I have stored away on my computer.

I love traveling, but I never take the time to get the pictures printed and put them in a book or journal. With this LCD screen I could look through all of my pictures and print them at the same time. That would be so great…

Oh, dear, Alli…another chance to win one?

    I’m dizzy…woozy…and a bit slobbery, too :) .

How to use it, hmmm…first thing that comes to mind is for invitations for a few Christmas parties we’re hosting. And printing pictures of upcoming family gatherings…and faxing the daggum thing I need to to our insurance company…and copying receipts that need to be processed. Oh, and my youngest has a display project coming up and he could use it for images for that. See? Fun and business–those ideas are just a start…I can only IMAGINE how having one of these whizbang gizmos would simply and ENRICH our lives!

I’ve already written about the Epson; I’ll revise and repost it to include this giveaway. Even though that diminishes my own chances of winning….

S i g h…maybe having eight rabbit’s feet in our home will help! Even though they’re still attached to the bunnies :) .

I don’t think I would create anything. It’s too pretty. I will just leave the fish there and stare at it when I need relaxation, and never have to clean inside.

Just kidding. That would be like have a Porsche and not driving it. I’ll use it for all kinds of things, like to make notes reminding my son to clean his room, but they will be VERY IMPRESSIVE notes. With hi-def photos of the plethora of Starburst wrappers near his bed.

I love to take pictures, but hate how they turn out when I try to print them myself. I am an avid scrapbooker, so having this printer would be incredible! Thanks for this opportunity to try and win one!

And to think of all of the scrapbooking pages I could actuall complete. Perhaps I could print photos for my customers and their clients. I could fax copies of my butt. That would be nice.

What wouldn’t I use this printer for???

Presentation handouts. Nah, I’d print them on the 800 because it prints double sided and that would be so much better for the enviornment. Plus they’d look slick!
Marketing flyers. Nah, I can tell this printer would ROCK for those!
Chore charts for the kids. Nah, how could I resist doing it with the wireless connection.
Boring personalized holiday letters. Nah, boring or not, I’d use the new Artisan to print them out immediately upon delivery.
Scanning photos for digital archival. Nah, I literally have a bombshelter full of old photos. This would make my husband very happy.
Cute kids and dog pics. Nah, come on. If you saw them, you’d understand why!

Evidently I’d use the Artisan 800 to print just about everything.

I would love to win this! If I had a decent printer like this there are 2 things I would create with it.

First, I would create a brochure for my company – which is something I need to do, but don’t want to pay for the printing :)

More importantly, I would print out the require photos for our adoption process. The Judge in Russia requires that we submit photographs of our interaction with the child we are adopting. We have LOTS of photos (4 years worth!). My current printer is not a good photo printer…and this process takes me the better part of 4 days non-stop. This summer held many precious memories for our family. Wow! The Epson Artisan 800 would be oh-so-handy in my house. First, I’m a grandma and I can just imagine all the wonderful photos I would be able to print of my two-year-old grandson. His great grandparents would certainly benefit from the gift of photography as I envision a new photo every day!

Second, as a freelance writer and editor, this printer would be a fantastic addition to my collection of Epson printers. I still have an old Epson 900 that prints fairly well still, but with this printer, I could edit onscreen!

Third, as someone interested in scrapbooking, I can imagine all the neat layouts I could design and send through this fantastic printer!

I would certainly like to be the proud owner of one!

I’d love to win this amazing printer. I’ve read about it in several blogs. I currently have an HP Photo printer and it’s pretty complicated to use. Unless I use it everyday to print photos (which I don’t do), I forget all its little idiosyncracies and end up wasting photo paper and ink. I would use this printer to print photos and client documents for my freelance business.

I am a special education major in my senior year. I hope to teach kindergarten and in this past few weeks I have taken tons of pictures of my kids and them doing work. It would be great to have this printer so I could print out the great pictures at my school. The kids love seeing their pictures and being able to document everything they do would be wonderful. As a special education major I can’t afford to get this kind of printer. This printer would be able to help me in the classroom and with my scrap booking so I can remember all the fun moments we have with the kids. The special education route means a lot of documentation and this printer will help me and my kids!

And not only does the Epson Artisan 800 print photos, I could print pictures of the kiddos directly to a CD to send to relatives! Not to mention, I could use it for thank you notes, birthday cards, coloring books…the possibilities are endless. Thanks!

Gosh, this would be great for all of the photos I take at school. As of now I have to drag my printer and cables to the school, take over one of their pc’s and hook everything up in order to print. I’m the class mom for both of my kids classes and I am an officer of our PTO. I spend a lot of time taking and printing pictures that the kids use in crafts to give their parents or just take home to their parents. I know the parents always enjoy pictures of their kids and what they do at school, after all, school pictures are so expensive and they only capture your child on that day. It’s nice to be able to send pics home with kids of them throughout the school year. Anyway, this would get put to use like you wouldn’t believe if I were the owner :-)

I host annually a Crop for the Cure (we raised $810 this year and 12 inches donated of my hair) I can print and create all my raffle tickets. We also make banners and signs for the event. This would be a great way to create and print everything we need to make it bigger and greatter than ever. We can then print out pictures and delivery them to ladies who attended the event as a little token to say thanks for coming out.

As an autism specialist, I truely know that sometimes a picture CAN be worth a thousand words. When working with teachers or parents, I’m always stressing that communication goes beyond words and encourage them to use pictures to help their children organize, communicate and navigate new situations. I also stress to teachers that these tools should be used with ALL children.

Using pictures to create schedules, social stories, activity books and reinforcement programs can be very time consuming and cumbersome. With an Epson Artisan 800 and the ability to edit so easily, my frustration would be greatly reduced and I’d be able to accomplish so much more.

    Thanks for the opportunity,
    Liz
