For many of us, military life means moving. Often. For some families that means finding a rental in a far-away city, while for others it means that we have to rent out our current houses.
But how do we rent out a house when we’re not around to manage it?
How do we find a trustworthy rental with limited time and resources?
Try the Automated Housing Referral Network. It has a list of approved and inspected rentals and for-sale-by-owners. If you want to rent out your house, your base Housing Office can register your rental and it will show on their website for other military members to find. The Housing Office won’t manage the rental for you, but they can arrange to have your rent paid by allotment, affording you some security.
Visit ahrn.com to find out if the Automated Housing Referral Network is available in your area.
