My daughters watch and love a lot of shows that I don’t particularly care for (including one in particular about a certain bald Canadian child – you know the one!) but I have always had a place in my heart for “Charlie and Lola”. This award winning BBC series features a brother and a sister duo, and I adore the way they care for and interact with each other.
I was sent Charlie and Lola, Vol. 9: What Can I Wear for Halloween? to review. It features several episodes, including the title episode where Lola struggles to figure out what she wants to be for Halloween. In addition, there are eight other episodes on this DVD – and my four year old daughter loved them all (especially “I Am Going to Save a Panda”).
The actually running time of this DVD is about two hours – and we broke our Charlie & Lola viewing into several sittings to avoid too much screen time at once. This is a lovely addition to our kids’ movie library that is already getting repeat viewings.
