I have five children. Yes, you read that correctly: FIVE CHILDREN!  Four of them are grown (ages 20, 21, 23 & 24) but my youngest is a full fledged 15 year-old teenager!  I often wonder if I raised my children right and trained them correctly.  I even have days when I sit back and think about what I should have done better or could have done differently.  I realize that as a human I am fallible and prone to making mistakes and EVERY MOTHER knows that these children Do Not come with instructions!

With my first and second child I did every thing by the book, by my third and fourth child I was skipping chapters in the book (who has time to read books anyway??) and by the time I got to my fifth and final child I was just winging it!  So every now and then I wonder… Did I Raise Them Right?

Well I recently had a moment which was one of my proudest mommy moments yet!  My teenager and I were running into Sam’s Club for a few last minute items, when she found a Blackberry phone in the parking lot.  So what ensued next was a lot of questioning.  She asked me should she keep it or not?  Recognizing an awesome teaching moment, I gave no answer but, “What do YOU think you should do with it”?  A few hours after we returned home this awesome teenager found the owner on facebook!  Long story short, the woman got her phone back and my teenager received a $40 reward from the woman!!

So I guess I DID Raise Them Right!
