My 11 month old has never enjoyed being spoon fed, and now that he’s old enough to eat more table foods, I’ve been on the lookout for some fun things to feed him. Here are some things I’ve found, along with my old standbys:
- shredded cheese
- shredded chicken
- cooked and diced carrots and sweet potatoes (I like to freeze these so I always have them on hand)
- peas
- grilled cheese sandwiches
- pasta or macaroni (cooking spaghetti for the family? Toss in a handful of elbow macaroni for your little one, it’s easier than spaghetti for him to pick up!)
- soft fruits such as peaches, pears, and bananas
- Cheesy Vegetable Nuggets (scroll down)
- Oatmeal and Apple Pancakes
- sticky rice rolled into balls
- Cinnamon Apple Slices
