Interactive Metronome (IM) is a neurological assessment and treatment tool that has become a good companion to traditional therapy for children (and adults).IM was first developed and used in the early 1990s as a way to help children with learning and developmental disorders such as:

Sensory Integration Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Cerebral Palsy
Non-verbal Learning Disorder
ADD/ADHD

Over the years, it has been implemented as part of therapy programs with older patients who also exhibited the same deficits as pediatric patients, including:

Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA)
Balance Disorders
Limb Amputation
Parkinson’s Disease
Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

I’ve actually personally tried the Interactive Metronome. The inventor of this system brought it to our church for us to try. It is a wonderful system!
