Did you know that french fries are the most popular vegetable served to toddlers aged 15-24 months? Or that soda is often served to babies as young as 7 months old? How about that as many as 25% of toddlers don’t consume a single serving of fruits or vegetables on any given day?
Gerber conducted a groundbreaking study in 2002, the Feeding Infants and Toddlers study (FITS), which revealed poor eating habits for many babies and toddlers starting at an early age. This was just the first step in Gerber’s pledge to promote healthy eating habits, and they have continued their campaign over the years through many avenues, such as:
::Conducting clinical trials and pediatric nutrition research at our Nestlé Research Center—and in more than 15 countries worldwide.
::Continually improving the nutrition of our products
::Providing parents and health care providers with essential feeding information and helpful tools
::Offering 24/7 access to our feeding and nutrition experts
::Keeping dietitians, physicians, and health care providers up-to-date with some of the latest pediatric nutrition research and tools to help their patients
::Helping shape public health policy in the United States*

i made a pledge about 2 weeks ago. I am trying very hard with my 3rd to get him to like baby food veges not just bananas…
I pledge to grow your love of fruits and veg every day!
I made a pledge to wake up early to do my homework and studying instead of doing it during the day, so that I can have more play time with my daughter!
thanks
The biggest challenge of them all – instilling a love of vegetables.
I don’t eat nearly enough vegetables and I want my kids to love them.
I pledge to play, laugh, and love every day with you!
I made a five panel pledge:
.
I promise to give you milk to keep your smile beautiful. (my 18 month son)
I pledge to make you eat your veggies to promote healthy eyes. (my 8 year olf son)
I promise to always remind you to exercise so your heart stays strong. (my 11 year old)
I will always brush your teeth until you are old enough to do it for yourself. (my 4 year old)
I promise to give you family to make your life worth living! (my boy due in April 09)
That was a challenge. Even though I’ve tried to get my children to eat a well balanced diet it’s not always easy. One of them I just have to make eat what is good, even if he thinks I’m mean
Thanks for the contest.
I pledged to teach my children to be strong individuals.
I pledge to keep giving you veggies even if most of them end up on the floor
