I confess, I have been known to utter the phrase ‘I wouldn’t wish twins on my worst enemy’ on more than one occasion.
I’ve also come close to wringing the necks of the grinning stranger who bubbles “oooh I’d love to have twins” and some days I barely hold in my reply of “no you wouldn’t – trust me.”
I’ve also confessed here about my singleton envy.
So…um…yeah…I am hardly the poster mother for twins here.
Ok, ok…I’ve always known it was not all bad. And I promise I’ve always loved my girls, even when I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy. It’s just that the blur of those first few years really takes it out of you and you just don’t have time to find the joy as often as you should. But, especially now my girls are getting older AND now that I have had a singleton to compare things to, I am beginning to see that life with multiples is not all bad. At all.
Good things about having twins #1:
Double the Love!
It’s pretty ace to have two sets of arms flung around your neck and two small voices whisper in your ear, telling you how much they love you.
It really is a double helping of love and something rather special.

I agree, most times it’s double the trouble, but it’s worth it for double the love!
I thoroughly agree that it’s double the love. I have two singletons and a set of twins. They all bring me joy and plenty of work too but having the twins has made me want to try again. They double my joy every day.
