So apart from double the love,  there were many a day when I thought there was not much else good about having multiples. Then my girls began to grow up a little. They became toddlers and a magical thing happened.

Good things about having twins #2:

They played together.

I have two girls, who are exactly the same age and very much alike…instant play mates. Unlike singleton siblings, because they are the same age they both acquire the same skills at around about the same time so there is never the problem of one of them being old enough to do something and the other not. They like similar things and while they still fight and argue – they are pretty evenly matched so there is a lot less refereeing for me to do.

While my other Mum friends were lamenting over being dragged off and conned into playing tea parties and fairies, I was enjoying the good life and watching my girls happily playing together!! It’s a completely precious sight!

This has got to be the number one, most awesome, thing about having twins!
