Each year when it’s time to decorate our Christmas tree, we give our two children a new ornament. I like to try to find ones that represent what my children are interested in at that time and Hallmark never lets me down. I know that I can always find the perfect keepsake ornament for each child, one that will make their eyes light up and that they will treasure forever and ever.
The Hallmark Keepsake ornaments are also the ones my children always talk about as the time draws near for tree decorating. My son talks about his Grinch and “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” ornaments. My daughter especially likes her “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing” and Jingle Belle ones. Our family’s Hallmark moments definitely lie in the tradition of trimming the tree and pulling out those favored ornaments year after year. Add some hot cocoa and Christmas carols playing, it’s downright idyllic! At least, I think it is. And I hope they do, too.
This year, I’m so excited to present to them the Hoops & Yo-yo “Goodies for Santa” ornament (for my son) and the “Visions of Sugarplums” ornament (for my daughter)!
I love hearing my son giggle at Hoop’s & Yo-yo’s antics and my daughter will just love the scene from “The Night Before Christmas” that is depicted in the “Visions of Sugarplums” ornament.
And this year, Hallmark has recordable holiday storybooks like “The Night Before Christmas”, “The Very First Christmas” and “Frosty the Snowman”. There are so many ways you can use these recordable books. Have out-of-town grandparents record “The Night Before Christmas” so your children can hear them read it on Christmas Eve. Or have your children read “Frosty the Snowman” and send it to grandparents or cousins or an armed forces parent who is deployed during the holiday.
What are some of your holiday Hallmark moments?
I was provided with a Hallmark Keepsake Ornament and a Hallmark recordable holiday storybook in exchange for a review post about the products. Hallmark has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember, my opinions about their product are my own.

Ohh… I so ♥ Hallmark ornaments. Our grandparents have given us Hallmark ornaments since we were little… every year… that is a lot of years! I now have a huge collection and love each and every one of them.
How better to measure a child’s reading progress and education than by the creation of storybooks by children to loved ones, especially grandparents, but also applicable to absent parents or traveling parents?
