I tried homeschooling for preschool with my triplets. I really wanted to make homeschooling work for us, but alas…my kids begin public pre-k tomorrow. Still, I toy with the notion of returning to homeschooling at some point in the future. There are just so many things about homeschooling that appeal to our family.
I discovered many challenges to homeschooling our multiples. The level of competition between them made some aspects of homeschooling REALLY difficult. And trying to encourage them to work individually was tough, because they have a natural tendency to want to help one another with difficult tasks.
I just came across a really helpful article from iparenting.com. It deals specifically with the challenges of homeschooling multiples. If you are considering homeschooling your twins, triplets or more…you may want to peruse this article for yourself.
And if any of you are successfully homeschooling your multiples, let us know! Link to any blog posts you’ve done on this topic.

I admire you for attempting homeschooling. I’m going to send them somewhere, because they really need the interaction with other kiddos. And, they need to listen to instructions from someone other than me!!!!
Let us know how the first day goes~~how exciting!!!
I’ve been homeschooling my twins for the past two years. We are starting first grade this year. We have dealt with the competition thing too, but we always seem to find a way to over come it. You should like the fact that your triplets want to help each other when working on a project. My kids do too. When they get a little bigger you will find they want to do more on their own anyway. I think it’s great that you gave it a try homeschooling your kids, but you do what you think is best for your family. Hey you never know like you said you might find when they are a bit older you can try homeschooling again. Thanks for sharing that article I’m looking forward to reading it.
