IKEA Recalls Crib

IKEA announced that it is recalling about 20,000 SNIGLAR cribs because, “the crib’s mattress support can detach and collapse, ‘creating a risk of entrapment and suffocation to a child in the crib.’ Most recent crib recalls have been cribs that have a drop-down side. This crib is NOT a drop-down side crib.

If you purchased a crib from IKEA between 2005-2010, please check to see if you have this crib:

These SNIGLAR cribs were made in Romania and sold at IKEA stores from October 2005 through June 2010 for about $80.

SNIGLAR cribs with a model number 60091931 can have mattress support bolts that are too short. Although no incidents or injuries have been reported, if your crib is a part of this IKEA crib recall, you should stop using it, and make sure that you have a proper size bolt.
