I am a bit of a neat freak. I am a mother of preschool-age triplets. Those two things do NOT generally mix well. I usually find myself staying up very late each night trying to tidy up the huge messes they make. I’ve tried getting them involved, because I know that’s important. But…I’m also super practical. I’ve discovered the obvious. I can do it so much more quickly (and more thoroughly) without their involvement.
And yet…
I’m doing them no favors. Part of my job in parenting them is to raise them to be responsible, independent, considerate people. So I’ve been searching around for better ways to encourage their participation in the clean-up duties around here.
I found a great article full of tips. I hope it helps!
