“Are they identical?”
It’s a question we hear again and again.
The short answer is yes.
Our girls are identical twins. They came from one fertilized egg, that for some reason decided to split in two. Their DNA is almost exactly the same and they look alike.
That is the answer most people are looking for, but it’s not all there is to the story.
They are the same in so many ways.
They are different in so many ways.
They are the same in different ways.
They are different in the same ways.
They smile the same, until they open their mouths. Zoe is minus three front teeth after an accident when she was three.
Their faces are the same, but Izzy’s is a little fuller.
They talk the same, but they sound different.
Their hair is the same, but it sits differently.
They are the same height, but different weights. They are almost always 15ograms different in weight, both taking turns at being the heavier one.
They both eat like a horse, but like different foods.
They both giggle the same, but find different things funny.
They both love a cuddle, but Izzy likes her back rubbed while Zoe likes her feet rubbed.
They love each other the same, and hate each other the same.
Their differences make them who they are…. so do their similarities.
The same, but different…. the quandry of identical twins.
