Turn a Walk into a Game

Is the walk around the neighborhood getting a little boring? Make it more interesting by having a scavenger hunt.
Have the kids help you make a list of things you’re likely to find while out for a walk (and perhaps some challenge items that might require some creative thinking) and head out. For young kids, draw pictures of the items so they remember what they are looking for.
You can turn it into a competition to see who can find the most items, or keep a tally of how many of each item you find. Take a camera along and turn it into a photo scavenger hunt.
However you do it, it’s a great way to really explore your neighborhood!
