It’s summer and your kids’ favorite phrase is, “Mom, I’m bored!” They want to spend some time on the computer, especially on Internet sites but, you worry about safety and about education and honestly, you don’t have time to endlessly search for appropriate sites to keep them entertained. The people at Zoodles, they get that.
While parents universally believed that the computer could help their kids learn, they just didn’t have the time or resources to scour the web and find any of this fun, educational content themselves.
What’s a concerned parent to do?
Get Zoodles! Zoodles is a unique kid browser where all content has been pre-screened and is designed to fit your child’s age and abilities. Zoodles was created by a concerned father who wanted an internet experience that was tailored for his child.
The idea for Zoodles was born while Mark watched his 4-year-old daughter, Abbie, struggle while using the computer. He wondered why kids were constantly trying to adapt to computers rather than having the computers adapt to them.
Sound familiar? Zoodles creates a virtual playground for your child that allows them access to fun, educational content in line with their age level but prevents them from “accidentally” stumbling into inappropriate content.
Zoodles offers a free browsing experience for your child.
The Zoodles browser can:
- Help them find Free, Fun, Educational content online
- Filter content to include games appropriate to their age
- Update with new games as they get older
- Keep them safe while playing games online
- Keep your computer safe while they play games
Additionally, Zoodles offers premium memberships that allow parents to:
- Set time limits for online play
- Block content
- Block sites
- See progress reports
- Promote subjects
I particularly like the time limit and the block site features. Even though all the sites on Zoodles are pre-screened and appropriate for children, you and I both know that there are still sites and shows that we’d rather our children not watch, even if it’s just because we find them to be annoying! It was for that reason alone that I blocked a certain show from son’s account!
Who can benefit from Zoodles?
Zoodles is designed for children ages 2-8, offers content in all subjects found in school (from reading to science to life skills) and once downloaded, is ready for your child to use simply by clicking on the desktop icon. The Zoodles browser is always free and when you sign-up, you get a free, 14-day trial, premium membership so you can experience all the additional benefits that Zoodles offers.
Best of all? It gives you one more item in your summertime, “Mom, I’m bored!” arsenal of activities!
Now, the Zoodles team really understands the need for parents to have lots of options for their kids during the summer. So, they are giving away a one-year premium membership to Zoodles AND a $100 gift card from Amazon so that you can really beef up your arsenal of “Mom, I’m bored” busters! Yeah, they’re awesome!

Some of my favorite features of Zoodles is the age appropriate educational sites, the programable parental controls and that I can set a timer for computer play. Awesome!
I like the play timer as well as the parental controls. I would love this.
Thanks.
I like Zoodles because I don’t need to be looking over my son’s shoulder every second, to see if he’s clicked an ad that takes him out to the open Web. (This happens all the time on nickjr.com.)
My boys Loved their own interface and played with it for quite a while! Zoodles are pretty cool!

Some of the things I love about Zoodles are that my almost 7 yr old cannot accidentally delete any of my files or wander onto other sites.
Wow. I had no idea this was out there. I think I like the different options to filter. You’re right there are shows and sites out there that I don’t feel are appropriate for this age level. Fantastic review and heads up on a great tool!

I like the parental monitoring chart! A good way to keep track of what was going on. My girl is edging closer to 2 and online obsession is already peeking over our shoulder!
I love Zoodles! I like the filters and parental monitoring. It helps me know what areas to work on with my daughter.

I love that not only are explicit contents filtered out, but also violent content is removed! Sometimes sites like that slip through site blockers so this is perfect!

Following Zoodles on Twitter – I think my kids would love this service
I like that Zoodles will allow me to multi-task while my daughter is online. I also appreciate that I can feel confident that what she is searching is appropriate so I don’t have to hover over her — giving her autonomy and allowing me to tend to dinner or a phone call or even catch up on my online world.
I love everything about zoodles but if I had to pick one thing it would be the play timer.
Always a battle in my house.
definitely the violence blocker and the games. my kids are always looking for some new games and i love feeling safe about them.
I like how it is age appropriate. My 2.5 yr old LOVES getting on the computer and now there is a site I can feel safe having him visit.
