Every fall I love to have friends over for a chili dinner and s’mores for dessert.. When the first chill is in the air and the leaves begin to turn I start brainstorming ways to decorate a festive fall table.
There are so many beautiful and budget friendly ways to decorate and have a very festive party! Here are some creative ideas:
This example of the perfect outdoor fall decor (by Country Living) is made by using natures best decorations! Hay, fall flowers, pumpkins.. all easy and inexpensive – perfect for an outdoor party.
Too cute idea for the table or to add a bit of fall ambiance to your home. Trim the stem off of a small pumpkin. Using hot glue or floral wire – attach fake leaves, berries, and candle to top. So cute!
A great party favor to thank your guests for coming are individually wrapped caramel apples. This sweet treat will send anyone home feeling festive!
Another budget friendly table decor is the “leafbowl”. I spied this on a wedding decor site and thought it looked easy.. Cut the top off of a small pumpkin and let inside dry out (after cleaning out the goo of course!). Add a bit of floral foam inside for a foundation, then poke leaves into the foam – the more you poke the prettier and fuller it looks!
What better way to end the evening than with chocolate and marshmallow! Setting up a s’mores bar for your guests will make it easy to get the chocolate flowing.. Adding flavored marshmallows and different kinds of chocolate squares makes it more fun.
I love to decorate with naturals – good ole stuff from outside! A wheat bundle as the centerpiece of a table or even on a mantel, will give your home just the right amount of a harvest feeling.
Now that I have seen some of these great ideas I am ready to start planning my party.. oh the work that lies ahead! But in the end, with chocolate smeared faces, full bellies, and laughter filling the air – it’s so worth it!
