Regardless of how I fill my closet, the one thing that truly makes me smile is a fresh new manicure. Out with the dark colors of winter and IN with the bright, bold and beautiful!
Bright WHITE is a leading trend this spring.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the most talked about nail trends for the 2014 season and decided to put the owner of my nail salon to the test. From bright whites to metallic stripes to polka dots, the look is clean, crisp and at the same time totally classic. For a girl who usually stays neutral for most of the year, I find that I can’t keep away from the bright, candy colors that line the shelves of her salon now. Robin’s egg blue, bright pink, lemon yellow the grooviest greens that you’ve ever seen!

As I’m sure you know, it can take time to find the right salon. You want to find someplace bright, clean and welcoming, but more importantly your nail technician must have talent! I have been going to the same salon near my home just outside of Boston for over four years. Fancy Nails, on Watertown Street in Newton is it for me. The prices are reasonable, and the talent and attention to detail is immeasurable. The owner, Lisa, always knows what’s trending and she always delivers a beautifully glossy finished product.
