Soup’s on!
The weather is chilly; for some reason that makes me crave yummy soups. Curling up with a steaming mug of soup, a snuggly blanket, and a good book…sounds pretty inviting, no?
Let’s make it even easier; pureed soup. Skip the silly spoon if you like, and just drink up your soup. Simpler clean-up, too!
Look at that orange yumminess. Carrots and sweet potatoes? YES, please. In her recipe, Emma Eats suggests garnishing with bacon. BACON, y’all. *wipes away tear* She also has a cinnamon and maple syrup version. A girl after my own heart.
Asparagus + potatoes + a few spices + milk = GET IN MAH BELLY. π You can find the recipe here, over at Key Ingredient.
Carrot ginger soup. It looks almost too pretty to eat, doesn’t it? It’s vegan, too…so you can feel all good about eating it as well. The recipe from A House in the Hills has some fun garnishing options as well. Nice!
This soup uses pureed cauliflower as a thickener instead of heavy cream. Healthy just became healthier…and of course the calories are reduced as well. What a great recipe from Foodista.
Mushrooms are really good for you (who knew!); but really…this soup looks so hearty and scrumptious the health benefits are just an awesome bonus! The recipe from Just a Place for Pinterest Posts looks pretty easy, too.
Yes, celeriac. Also known as celery root. I’d never heard of it, either. But once I read roasted garlic I was all in.Β I’m definitely giving this recipe from Kitchen Apparel a shot.
It’s amazing what people think to puree together, isn’t it? Whodda thunk broccoli, spinach, and quinoa? But check out the recipe over at Cooking Quinoa; it looks amazing.
Okay, enough with the healthy veggie stuff. Let’s have some fun here…Beer Cheese Soup. Soup that eats like an appetizer. Glad I found this one from She Wears Many Hats.
MORE mushrooms! This one is from Paula Deen; it features portobello mushrooms and puts a spin on it with a smoky kick. That bowl is really cute, too.
Why should the veggies get all of the glory? This strawberry soup from Memories in the Baking looks amazing. Have you ever seen anything so pretty?
Now it’s your turn-

That’s quite a selection of soups. And thank you for featuring mine as well, I certainly appreciate it!
We were hit with a snowstorm yesterday, and needless to say, soup’s been on my mind since.
That seems like the best time for soup! π Stay safe!!
Our favorite right now is homemade cream of tomato soup with basil. My kiddos love it!
I would pick the mushroom vegan soup since I just love, love, love mushrooms! They all look so good though. There is nothing like a nice warm soup on a cold day.
