3 Ways to Find Bliss

Chocolate is a big deal around my house.  We love chocolate cake and this home-made chocolate frosting recipe from Rachel looks like the perfect way to top it in chocolatey goodness!

I have to tell y’all — I’m not really a chocolate frosting person but this — this chocolate frosting with the subtle undertones of cinnamon and the creamy richness from the evaporated milk and real cocoa – ZOMG!!!!

YUM.  Thanks Rachel for sharing this great recipe. I can’t wait to try it out!

This time of year I spend a lot of time outside gardening and hanging out with my guys.  Teresa’s Backyard Furniture post had so many great ideas for decorating and creating living spaces outside.  We especially love to use our outdoor fireplace.  Boys like fire.  It’s a scientifically proven fact.

Warm weather means the whole family taking the opportunity to spend more time outdoors.  How much thought have you given to accessories for your outdoor living space? Two desirable options to consider for your  backyard furniture & accessories would be to an outdoor fireplace and portable shade -oh so welcome on hot, lazy afternoons…

…An easy inexpensive way to add character and a little light- mason jars hung from a tall iron hook, oh so chic as a backyard accessory.

I really loved this garden decorating idea.  How awesome and cute is this mason jar luminary!?

Oh and one last thing,

Lotus wrote about using natural and handmade backdrops for taking pictures…

Three ways you can get great backdrops for photos in your backyard:

  • - isolate areas of your backyard that have natural backdrops
  • - repurpose things you have around the house as simple backdrops
  • - construct your own backdrops for use portrait with bush as background

Sometimes when we are constantly surrounded by the same things it makes it hard for us to see them as art.  This is a really cool guide for taking great family pictures at home!

I hope you enjoyed these posts as much as I did!  Food, Garden and Photography Bliss all rolled into one? Winning.

What do you think?
