Spring fever is in full swing here at our house. Cleaning lists have been taped to the fridge, baseballs have begun to fly around the yard again, and spring themed bento boxes have been requested by my favorite little people.
You know how much I love bento box lunches. Not only because they’re so much fun to create, but because I can include lots of healthy food that even my picky eater finishes!
This week, we made this fun lunch:
I made a turkey, salami and cheese sandwich and used a cookie cutter to shape it like an ice cream cone.
I even turned baby carrots into umbrellas with cute little j shaped picks!
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of springtime are flowers. So, I added some different flower creations by cutting tiny flowers out of cucumber slices and arranging grapes and strawberries in a silicone cupcake liner.
Then we made yummy smoothies out of vanilla yogurt, spinach, blueberries and sprinkle of powdered sugar. It was another fun and healthy lunch!
What inspires you when you’re making lunches? Do you bento?
