Do you host an annual BBQ at your house? Are you always looking for a new and tasty recipe that will WOW your guests? Today, I have a pork chops recipe that is a snap to prepare and just as easy to grill. With only 15 minutes of prep time, you’ll have plenty of time to welcome guests and sit back and have a cocktail or two.
This Memorial Day, Walmart is the ultimate source for your barbecue essentials and great pork deals on your grilling favorites like pork chops. Look for this popular cut when shopping the meat case and visit Grillpork.org for more grilling inspiration.
Ready to get started? Let’s grab your ingredients. If you don’t already have these items in your pantry, you can find them all at WalMart.
You’ll need:
- 1/3 Cup of Reduced-Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1/4 Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 3 Tbls. Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 2 Cloves Minced Garlic
- 6 Boneless Pork Chops {with fat trimmed}
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl that has a lid. Add pork chops to the mixture. Allow to marinade in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. {I went to the fridge and gave the bowl a good shake every 30 minutes or so. I wanted to make sure they were getting coated on each side.}
When you’re ready to grill the pork chops, remove from marinade and cook at 225 degrees on a greased grill. {Tip: Spray each side of your pork chops with non-stick cooking spray, instead of spraying grill grates directly.} Cook pork chops for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until juices run clear. DO NOT overcook, the meat will become tough and dry.
For tender, juicy and flavorful chops, cook them like a steak! The National Pork Board recommends that you cook pork chops to an internal temperature between 145°F (medium rare) and 160°F (medium), followed by a three-minute rest, using a digital thermometer to ensure accuracy.
Serve your pork chops with grilled pineapple, brown rice, and steamed veggies for a meal that is loaded with Summertime flavors. Enjoy!
