It’s almost time to welcome family and friends to our Thanksgiving table, to share a meal, laughter and love. I love this time of year. Even the simplest of touches add to the warmth of the season.
Here are few simple ideas for your Thanksgiving table-
- pine-cones as name card holders
- leaves for name cards
- flatware wrapped in twine…set in a stack on the buffet table.
- Branches and berries in a large vase for a centerpiece.
- gather old family photos place in a basket….pass them around share stories and the memories they bring back.
- personalize some simple Linen napkins…with a stamp or personalized with embroidered letters or numbers.
We are in the season of entertaining…anything you choose to do …will welcome your guests and make it memorable.
Share what you do.

Hi, I love your ideas. My family always gathers around my kitchen table. We have a very small kitchen so I don’t bother with table decoration-there simply is no room. But, none the less it is a time of love, fellowship and Thanksgiving. We are not a large family, but the quantity isn’t the most important thing, the quality of the love is what counts!
We spend the time we have together talking, play with my 2 grandsons, and trying to talk to my adult daughter when she isn’t chasing the little boys. The boys dad, my husband of nearly 40 years and my 18 year old autistic daughter fill in the rest of the family. My daughter’s autism always poses some problems, because change in routine is so hard for her, so I keep things as simple as possible, yet welcoming my other daughter’s family. It usually works out quite well. Sometimes simplicity is good.
