National Cheesecake Day!
I would just like to thank whomever came up with the idea to celebrate July 30th as National Cheesecake Day.
Pure Brilliance!
Cheesecake is one of my very favorite desserts, although I don’t get to have it very often because my husband once gorged himself on it and now he doesn’t like it anymore.
Which is probably good for my waistline, but occasionally I get a craving for the creamy, delicious, cool, rich decadence of a delicious slice of cheesecake.
Fried Cheesecake
Have you ever had a fried cheesecake? Once upon 8+ years ago during my restaurant management days, we used to take those giant burrito size flour tortillas, drizzle them with chocolate sauce, wrap them around a slice of cheesecake, drop them in the fryer and fry until golden brown and crisp. Serve on a plate with fresh fruit and a dusting of powdered sugar; heavenly.
