St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and our family will be together. Yes, all 5 of us. So I’m gearing up for the green — to make it special and fun for the family.
Meals around our table are not centered on perfection or gourmet meals. Our time around the table is precious, relaxing, and a time where we can simply enjoy being “family.”
Last year I decorated the table (I used 2 green dish towels as a center-runner), I put shamrock stickers on my white napkins, made some yummy muffins, and I even tried a new crockpot recipe. Oh, and our kids will be drinking traditional green milk!
The importance of special times together is what memory-making is all about. I’ve made a promise to myself, that every chance I can, I will make time for simple things. Like a purposely planned St. Patrick’s Day meal!
Do you have any fun family plans for St. Patrick’s Day?

Traditional green milk? what kind of cows do you have then????!!
Hope you have a lovely St. Patrick’s Day, I have to admit I haven’t been anything so organised and I live in Ireland – planning to go to a parade alright though! But I must get my thinking cap on for green buns or something.
