I can’t cook a whole chicken. I don’t look in my refrigerator, see five random ingredients and automatically conjure up an idea for something to make for dinner in a flash.
However, I can bake.
When given the opportunity to try DeMarle at Home bakeware, I jumped at the opportunity – because being able to follow a recipe is all well and good, but the bakeware you use makes a difference as well.
DeMarle at Home bakeware is flexible and is used by professional chefs throughout the world. Most silicon bakeware results in a soggy outer crust, but this patented cookware has glass woven into the mold, so the outside gets crispy. The molds yield some pretty spectacular results, and no oil is needed. They also have silpats that use the same technology.
I used the molded pan to make my favorite donut cake recipe. Though this pan would be excellent for making quiches and that sort of thing – I was in a sweet tooth mood, not savory. I didn’t need to grease, flour or spray my pan with cooking spray. I was able to pour the batter directly into the flexible pan.
The end result was delicious, and the texture was perfect. The baking time was altered though – it took a bit longer to bake this cake – so you’ll want to keep an eye on the time and your finished product the first few times you use it.
I was also able to try the mini muffin pans – in which I made cookie bites – the time remained pretty true to recipe – and it was so much easier to pop the muffins out of the mold when they were done. No more losing half the muffin in the bottom of the pan!
Finally, I was able to try the silpat silicone mat for cookie baking. My cookies – they’re legendary – and I’m always looking for ways to improve my baking experience. I found the silpat was comparable to using parchment paper, however, the bakeware does continue to bake after you pull the pan out of the oven – so I would suggest, if you like a cookie that’s not as crisp on the bottom, to move them to a cooling rack perhaps a minute or so sooner than you might otherwise.
This bakeware is easy to clean and easy to store (flexible means that I can roll it up, and easily stow it in my baking cabinet – yes, I have a baking cabinet). The resulting baked goods were delicious, with the right taste and consistency. DeMarle is sold at home parties through independent consultants.

Hi! I am so glad you liked your Demarle products! I am am enthusiastic Demarle at Home Representative and critic, and I write a blog specifically geared toward Demarle products! Go check it out at Ryndathome.blogspot.com
I am in love with that mini muffin pan!! I detest cleaning those pans and have been known to throw them away instead of trying to get it clean. I tried my first Demarle product just a few weeks ago and signed up on the spot to be a representative. Anything that will help with the clean-up in the kitchen is something I can never be without again.
Hey!
I live in Doha, Qatar and was wondering whether you know about Demarle products here… do let me know.
Thanks
