Keep that Cutting Board Clean

Cutting boards are an essential in your kitchen…but they can be harbingers of bacteria and other miscellaneous nasties…So, it is important to follow these simple tips:
- Have a seperate plastic cutting board for meat, do not cut raw meat on the same cutting board as veggies and fruits, pop plastic board into dishwasher to clean
- Regularly clean and disinfect wooded cutting board by scrubbing with baking soda, then rinsing with full strength vinegar
- Use food grade mineral oil to season your cutting board, reapply when the board become too dry
- Try silicon cutting mats to cover your cutting board when working with a variety of foods, again, pop into dishwasher to clean/sanitize
Proper care of your cutting board keeps everyone safe and extends the life of the board.
