I love entertaining during the holidays! I especially like it when I’m organized and can throw a stress-free easy holiday party. My go to recipe are super simple mini Panini’s. They can be filled ahead and then ready to be cooked in just a few minutes. And there’s always a filling to please everyone! What can be better than that?

A few weeks ago, I shared my holiday shopping trip to Walmart where I purchased all the stuff I needed for my party. Now I’m ready to reveal my Oh-So Yummy Holiday Panini recipes. They are a super simple effortless way to entertain this season.

My star ingredient is the delicious King’s Hawaiian rolls “Original Hawaiian Sweet 12 Pack Dinner Rolls” for the buns because they are soft and sweet—perfect to make festive mini Panini’s. I just fill them with all different combinations of cold cuts, fruit, cheese and nuts. Then you give it a light press on a Panini grill and voila it’s done.

Step 1. The Ingredients

What You'll Need- (1)

  • King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Manchego cheese
  • Brie cheese
  • Blue Cheese
  • Turkey
  • Onions
  • Bacon
  • Dates
  • Pecans
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Dijon mustard

Step 2. Pre-Assembly

Fill Them with Yum!

Take out your King’s Hawaiian rolls and lots of different meats, cheese, nuts and condiments. The possible holiday combinations are endless. You can even make them with leftovers. But here are a few of my crowd-pleaser combinations:

Apple Manchego
Use a bit of fig jam and then add slices of apple and Manchego cheese, season with salt.

Apple Brie
Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of a split Hawaiian sweet roll. Fill with sliced Brie and thinly sliced green apples.

Turkey-Cranberry
Sandwich sliced turkey, cheddar and some cranberry sauce between slices of sweet rolls

Bacon-Date
Spread the inside with a little soft goat cheese. Fill with chopped dates and crisp bacon.

Blue Cheese Special
Saute some onions until they are caramelized.  Add some sliced pears and blue cheese.

Fruit, Cheese and Nuts
Add a few slices of cheddar, green apple slices and pecans.

Step 3. Cook

You can either use a Panini press or a cook them on the stove. If you don’t have a Panini press I highly recommend it. It’s a fantastic investment and will definitely make cooking a little easier!

With the Panini Press, simply preheat and then add your sandwich and cook until golden and crisp (1-3 minutes).  If you don’t have a Panini grill you can also use the stove. Preheat a skillet with butter or oil on medium low heat. Add your sandwich, then press a heavy pan on top to weigh it down and cook until golden and crisp (1-3 minutes).

Step 4. Serve

Ready to serve and enjoy!

Super easy and delicious with lots of possible fillings. A great way to entertain all ages at your holiday party—even my pickiest child enjoys a holiday Panini with King’s Hawaiian rolls.

Yummy stuff! I hope you enjoy lots of holiday parties this year. Let me know what you think?
