Do you know someone who has cool dishes or entertaining pieces, a friend who would be willing to swap with you during special occasions or holidays?
Shop, save and share
Through my thrifty finds from yard sales to the Dollar Store, I’ve collected quite a few entertaining accessories over the years. I’ve shared these with friends from time to time, letting them look through my cupboards to pick out what they’ve needed for all kinds of events including large parties, showers, and even special holiday occasions.
Two for one
Last year, my husband and I had a sweet Valentine’s Day dinner for a few friends, and I borrowed these beautiful heart-shaped dishes from a friend. I used them for Balcony Girls group in the afternoon (a young girl’s group of 7 young girls who I mentor), and then again for the dinner party that same evening. The same table setting I used twice – it save me a lot of time!
New dishes – no cost
They added extra holiday flair to my table, without my having to spend a dime. I like that idea – new dishes for no cost!
Do you ever swap dishes with friends?
