Peach Sunrise

Book club drink ideas

I think this peach sunrise would be fabulous for any family get together or even book club night.  You could make a pitcher and everyone could sip while chatting about the latest novel.

Peach sunrise

How to make a peach sunrise

I love summer for so many reasons.  I love the slow pace that life seems to take.  I love the freedom to do anything our hearts desires.  I love the summer holidays.  I love getting together with family.  Besides the heat and the mosquitos, I really love it all.

And if I had to pick an absolute favorite out of all of that, it would be getting together with family.  Family events normally have food and I’m a food girl!

We just came home from vacation in Michigan and got to spend tons of time with family.  We were there for a little over a week and got together as much as possible.  And yes, there was tons of good food!

I wish that I had made this drink for friends and family while we were up there.  They would have loved it!

Peach sunrise recipe

The fun thing about making drinks is that you get to name them.  I call this one a peach sunrise because, well, it looks like a peach-y sunrise.  And because it has orange juice in it, which reminds me of morning sunrises.  See?  Isn’t naming drinks fun?

And not only that – but it’s super easy to make!  You only need a few simple ingredients and you can be on your way to enjoying this peach sunrise with friends and family!

To make your own peach sunrise you will need:

  • 1 shot of Peach Schnapps
  • 6ish ounces of orange juice
  • ice
  • peach and fresh thyme for garnish

Place the ice in a glass.  Add the Peach Schnapps, then the orange juice.  Stir.  Add the fresh peach and thyme and enjoy!
