Perfect Casual Company Fare – Crockpot Italian Beef

If you are looking for a recipe that takes 5 minutes to put together but will wow your guests, Crockpot Italian Beef is it.  Not only is it delicious,  but since it’s put together in a crockpot, there’s almost no cleanup and it’s easy to keep warm if you’ve got guests eating at different times – open houses, parties, you name it. This is going to be a recipe you’ll want to make time and time again.

Be sure you give yourself the time to cook this up to 10 hours before serving. You want to be able to shred the meat before serving.

A few hours before serving, add the juice from second jar of peppers. For an extra spicy beef dish, you can add the peppers as well.

When the meat is done, remove from crock pot and shred with 2 forks. Return meat to crock pot to serve.

It’s a little bit spicy but it’s so delicious and easy – and foolproof.

** Notes: I prepared a roast that was just over 2 pounds and it took 9 hours and shredded beautifully. It would be perfect on a roll as a sandwich.
